Sunday was a Glorious day.

Wow, Sunday was amazing. I knew it was going to be touching, but it was more special than I could have imagined.  Sunday 4 of our girls were baptized. Our pastor is moving at the end of the month and so they asked if he could perform it before he left. It was a great day with lots of people due to the fact that we had a big picnic afterwards. I was so excited and felt I was doing great emotionally right up until my first daughter stepped into the baptistry. All of a sudden it overwhelmed me and  tears flood my face. The significance of  how much of a miracle was taking place welled up inside me.  I was in awe of God for his saving power that took that which was hopeless and replaced it with hope that will never fail. Each of the girls reacted with such excitement and pride and it blessed a mommy's heart more than words could describe.  The reality of God's love for them and the fact that it will be with them forever was made even more real by the power of the spirit when they, out of obedience to God, stood in front of many and said I am not ashamed.  It was a beautiful day and the time we spent together as a family enjoying Gods creation, and each other made it one of my favorite days this year.  My girls will never be the same, our family will never be the same, and for that I am blessed.:)

Monday, 19 May 2008 22:47 by stephwhyte

We have exciting news.!!!!!!!!!!!!!We were blessed to have been given the opportunity to record an interview with Faith Radio today.  It was an amazing time to be able to share our hearts. It was by far the best interview as of yet, because our true hearts were understood and the ministry was presented for what it truly is.  It will be played on the air on Morning Praise ,Thursday, May 21 between 7am and 7:10 am.  Faith Radio can be heard on FM radio at 89.1 in Montgomery,AL.

Thanks so much to all who were involved with allowing us to share our hearts.

Andrew and Pamela, it was a pleasure to meet both of you. Thank you for your encouraging wordsand for embracing the truth of what God has called us to do. The time we spent with you was terrific and we feel truly blessed for the opportunity. May God bless each of you beyond measure. Please know you are welcome to come by anytime:)

Prayer Needs

Wednesday, 14 May 2008 20:08 by stephwhyte

With a ministry like ours, the only thing to sustain us and to help us accomplish what we need to do is prayer. So today I would like to share some of those needs with you, our support system, so that our Father in Heaven will answer them.

First and foremost pray for the emotional state of our children. When they are removed from their homes, they have alot of confusing emotions to deal with, please pray for their peace and ability to cope with what they are having to face.

We cannot do this ministry alone. Please pray for God to line up the people He would have for us to make this dream take off and soar.

The opportunity to be a voice for these kids and this ministry. So many people are not educated on the truth of Foster and Adoptive Care and it is our hearts desire to tell as many people as possible.

We also need financial support, whether through grants, corporations,or through God's people.

We have a list of physical needs we are praying for as well:

A 15 Passenger Van or Bus so I can take the kids to do things over the summer by myself

A Tractor with a scoop and bushhog to work on the property to make it more liveable.

More property to be able to build more houses to support more Foster and/or Adoptive parents

A Playground for the kids to play outside on.

We know that everything we have comes from God and so we believe in asking Him for his provisions.

Thank you in advance for your prayers. If you have any request we could pray for, please let us know.

Blessings to you and yours

Welcome!!!

Tuesday, 13 May 2008 14:59 by stephwhyte

Hi, I am so glad to be able to have this chance to share with you all the things going on with A Place Called Home, My Father's House Ranch, and The Whyte Family.

It is a very busy time of year around here as we are counting down the days until school lets out. We are very close to finishing our studies, but will be "homeschooling" a few days a week all summer to keep the kids on track. We will also have lots of fun times too, as we are hoping to go to Atlanta to the Aquarium and see other sites as well. It is our hope to take a "field trip" at least 3 times a month over the summer. There is so much to learn outside a classroom and fun is a necessity too.

There are currently 9 children living in the home. We actually have more girls than boys for the first time ever. All but one of our pets are girls too! So the poor boys are REALLY out numbered.I a mproud to say everyone gets along amazingly well. We always feared with so many girls there would be alot of Drama, but we are pleasantly surprised that this is not the case. We all work together as a team to make this place run...

We are proud to announce 4 of our girls will be Baptised on Sunday. They all have asked Jesus into their hearts since they have been with us and so we are delighted that we get to experience this wonderful occasion with them. This was a choice each of them made on their own and they are very excited that Pastor Chuck will be Baptizing them before he moves.

The kids were on Alabama Live on Monday, at least their pictures were. We were blessed in Nov to win the "Family Guidance Center Family of the Year".  WSFA news did a story about us and how we all work together and they used parts of our interview to introduce May as National Foster Care Month at the end of Alabama Live.  It was fun for the kids to see themselves again.  Winning the award was a complete honor and blessing for our family. We do not do what we do for recognition, we do it because it is our heart, but it was a wonderful lesson to the children to see how their hard work and love as a family makes others stand back and notice. It is all about respect of other people in this house. Thinking of others first.  That is what we are all called to do.

Thanks for checking in , I will do my best to keep up with all our goings on.

Blessings,

Steph
